Move With the Mayor Evergreen Park
Move with the Mayor is a collaboration with the National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention. It is a national initiative that works with mayors across the country to challenge their communities to be more physically active. Mayor Burke is excited to participate in this initiative to encourage residents to be physically active to lower their chances of heart disease and its risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Fit City Challenge
Mayor Kelly Burke encourages residents of Evergreen Park to join her for the Fall Fit City Challenge! It's as easy as moving 30 minutes a day while tracking your activity. Every minute and activity of any kind counts!
The Fall Fit City Challenge launches on September 1 and runs through September 30! Are you ready to get in shape and make healthy choices? Can you commit to moving just 30 minutes a day to spark a change in your lifestyle? Join your friends, family, and Village and partake in Move with the Mayor.
Everything from working in the garden to taking a walk can be tracked and counted towards your total fitness minutes.
