Village Hall Hours

As a result of the Governor's Stay-At-Home order, the Village Hall is closed to the public until further notice.
However, the internal staff will be functioning, though the operations of the Village Hall services will be amended a little bit on a temporary basis.

Water Service continues as normal.   However, because this is an emergency situation, water service shutoffs (due to non-payment of water utilities) will be suspended.  That being said, it is important that you keep in touch with Water Management at (708) 229-3361.

Birth Certificates:   Follow mail-in instructions on our website (under PERMITS AND FORMS);  if time does not allow for you to mail in, please call (708) 229-8218 and leave a message, or email

Building Department:  will be staffed internally every day for limited hours.  Please call (708) 229-3335 and leave a message.  They can let you know exactly what has to be done now with building permits, contractor's licenses and the like.

Real Estate Transfer Stamps:   please call the main switchboard (708) 422-1551.

Vehicle Stickers:   if you have purchased a new car, you can get your vehicle sticker by mail.  Again, an application can be found under PERMITS AND FORMS.   That being said.  . .relax about your stickers.   You will not be ticketed for not having a sticker. . .and if, by chance, you do receive one, please just call the Village Hall.

Waste Management Services:   are still on schedule.   They will not be picking up bulk items for a few weeks, not only to protect the drivers from possible contamination, but because they are experiencing a heavier load of normal trash.   If you have more trash than what fits in your bin, you are free to use plastic bags, placed neatly near your trash container.    Recycling pickup continues, but again. . .please refrain from putting empty or full plastic bags inside the bin, and ALL cardboard boxes must be flattened and kept INSIDE the container.

Police Department, Fire Department, Street Department are all at full strength.

As of now, all programs offered by the Evergreen Park Recreation Department, Office of Citizen Services and Youth Department are suspended.
