HB Maher Community Center at 3450 W. 97th St. is designated as an Emergency Cooling Center during extreme heat is extending hours Mon.-Fri 9am to 10pm and Sat. & Sun 9am to 5pm. Should an emergency occur during non-business hours call the fire department at 708-422-2148 or the police department at 708-422-4142 for information or assistance.
Please check on elderly relatives and neighbors as well as those with health issues. It is important that someone makes sure those who cannot help themselves are not struggling in these extreme heat conditions.
Please do not leave family pets outside for extended periods of time.
